Shelter Cymru
Last year, Shelter Cymru helped over 22,513 people in housing need across Wales. The charity exists to defend the right to be in a safe home and tackle homelessness, through free, confidential advice and support. Our services are in higher demand than ever so sign up today and run the iconic Swansea Half Marathon and help the fight for home. Each day it costs £14.000 to deliver our services. As a local charity, we rely solely on the generosity of the community and receive no funding from the NHS. So join Team Maggie’s today and raise much-needed funds to continue the free support we give to people with cancer, their families and friends, across South West Wales.
Morgan’s Army Charitable Foundation
Morgan’s Army Charitable Foundation works to support families in South Wales facing a cancer diagnosis in their child or young person. We want to ensure that every family knows they never fight alone by providing peer support events, emotional financial support, funding projects that benefit cancer families and advocacy resources. We offer support at every stage of the journey; diagnosis, treatment and recovery- and also sadly, where appropriate, bereavement support. From raising awareness to building a united community, each goal reflects our mission to stand side by side with those in the throes of one of life’s toughest challenges.
Prostate Cymru
Did you know Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in Wales? Prostate Cymru is the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer. By choosing to run for Prostate Cymru in 2025 you will be supporting us achieve our core aims: 1. Raising awareness. 2. Supporting treatments and improving equipment for prostate diseases. 3. Funding research and innovation across Wales to ensure that men in Wales suffering with prostate diseases will have access to the best available treatments. 4. Supporting the education of medical professionals and students. Sign up for one of their places for free – all they ask that you raise a minimum of £200 to help support their vital work helping men in Wales with Prostate Cancer.
